Adult and Continuing Education Registration for the Spring 2012 semester of classes and workshops has begun and registration instructions and forms may be downloaded from this site. It is the goal of the Board of Education and the Director of the Adult and Continuing Education Program of the Westhampton Beach School District to help maintain, expand and improve individual knowledge and skills, and by doing so, to meet the needs of all adults for personal skill, growth and expansion. In addition, we are committed to providing programs, which meet the individual needs of community members, and we are dedicated to maintaining a quality program of excellence. General Information The spring semester of classes and workshops begins on Monday, March 5th and ends on Thursday, April 5th. All classes are held for five consecutive weeks from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the WESTHAMPTON BEACH HIGH SCHOOL located at 49 Lilac Road unless otherwise noted. Refer to the course or mini series workshop description for specific information in regard to date, time, room location, and material fee if applicable. MATERIAL FEE will be noted in the course description and will be collected by the instructor on the evening of the first class. DO NOT MAIL IN MATERIAL FEE WITH REGISTRATION FORM. Registration begins upon receipt of brochure. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Assume that you are registered for the course and report to your first class session. NO CONFIRMATION OF YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE SENT. If the class is filled or cancelled, you will be notified and your registration form and fee will be returned to you.
REGISTRATION FEE and INSTRUCTIONS: Resident: Westhampton (11977) Westhampton Beach (11978) $10.00 Resident Senior Citizen: (62 years of age and over): FREE Nonresident: $30.00 Nonresident Senior Citizen: $15.00 For each class or workshop you wish to participate in, you must fill out a separate registration form and enclose a separate registration check made payable to the Westhampton Beach School District. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH. Use the registration form provided (download additional copies if necessary). Mail registration forms to: Office of Adult and Continuing Education Westhampton Beach Union Free School District 340 Mill Road Westhampton Beach, New York 11978 EMERGENCY CLOSING OF SCHOOL Occasionally it becomes necessary and advisable to close school because of weather conditions or other emergency situations. Whenever this becomes necessary, every attempt will be made to have the closing announced. Radio stations WRIV-AM 1390, WRCN-FM 103.9, WWHB-FM 107.1, WLNG-FM 92.1 and WALK-FM 97.5 will carry such announcements as part of their news broadcast. Cancelled classes will be rescheduled. |
