Westhampton Beach High School students participated in a series of engaging activities during Red Ribbon Week. As part of the week’s events, representatives from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office visited the school to facilitate a drunk driving simulation. The experience offered students a realistic and impactful look at the dangers and consequences of impaired driving. Also during the week, the school’s CURE Club hosted a can collection and recycling event and students wrote positive, drug-free messages on red paper strips during their English classes. The strips were then linked to form a long chain that is displayed in the high school library.
