WHB Middle School Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month Through Culture, Learning and Trivia
Posted Date: 10/22/26 (09:25 AM)

Beginning September 15, WHB Middle School students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a month-long journey around the world - no passports required! Each week, students explored a different Hispanic country through daily morning announcements, discovering its history, notable figures, music, art, language, food, geography, and traditions.
The weekly lineup kept the excitement going: Mondays featured a Country Spotlight, Tuesdays highlighted History and Milestones, Wednesdays brought Music and Arts to center stage, and Thursdays explored Language and Food. Each week wrapped up with Friday’s Hispanic Heritage Trivia Challenge!
Students teamed up with classmates, tested their knowledge, and called the main office with their answers for a chance to win a small prize. The final trivia challenge brought the celebration full circle by asking students to recall what they learned over the four weeks.
From discovering new traditions and learning words in other languages to exploring countries connected to our students’ own heritage, we had a wonderful time learning together.
This month-long celebration offered a meaningful opportunity to explore cultures, recognize the many contributions of Hispanic communities, and celebrate the rich diversity that makes our school community so special.
