Two Westhampton Beach High School students have been selected as alternates for the All-State Festival of the 2023 New York State School Music Association Winter Conference, and 11 were named as performers in the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education All-County Music Festival.

For All-State, Alexandra Behmoiram was named as an alternative for the mixed chorus and Lilah Caputo was selected as an alternate for the symphonic band.

For All-County, Behmoiram, Julianna Manfredonia, Mia Pazera, Meghan Pomroy and Maria Sfyroeras will perform with the mixed chorus; Margaret Gilbride, Rosalie Judd and Ryan Zollweg will sing with the treble choir; and Caputo, Angelina LeMaire and Yulianna Mendez-Yaxon will perform with the band.

The students were selected for the ensembles based on their scores at the NYSSMA Solo Evaluation Festival, teacher recommendations and ranking.

The Westhampton Beach School District extends its congratulations to the musicians for their hard work and dedication.
