Westhampton Beach names second assistant high school principal

The Westhampton Beach School District Board of Education has appointed Dr. Alexandra Greenberg as one of the district’s new assistant high school principals. She has been serving as an interim assistant principal at the high school since August. 

“The district is thrilled that Dr. Greenberg will continue to serve at the high school,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carolyn Probst. “She has already proven her dedication to our students, and we are looking forward to her future accomplishments.”

Dr. Greenberg, of Shoreham, joined Westhampton Beach after serving as principal of George W. Hewlett High School in the Hewlett-Woodmere School District from 2022-2025. Her prior administrative roles included assistant principal at Hampton Bays High School and a high school administrator and director of mathematics in the Ossining School District. She also served as coordinator of math and science professional development at Southern Westchester BOCES in Harrison, New York. She began her career as a mathematics teacher in the New York City Public Schools at the middle and high school levels.

Dr. Greenberg holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science from Brooklyn College, a Master of Science from the College of New Rochelle and her doctorate from Manhattanville College.

“Being appointed assistant principal at Westhampton Beach High School is an honor, and I am proud to contribute to a community so deeply committed to academic and athletic excellence, student well-being and meaningful partnerships,” said Dr. Greenberg.
