If your child is interested in joining this year, please complete the permission slip below. Your child will need to return the signed permission slip no later than Wednesday, November 5th.

A meeting schedule will be forthcoming, based on student interest. Meetings will be held in my classroom, Room 205. As part of our commitment to student success, we are excited to announce the continuation of our afterschool program, RISE (Responsive Instruction for Student Empowerment). RISE offers enrichment sessions designed to empower students and extend their learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Our dedicated instructional staff teaches RISE sessions, which provide students with valuable opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, and explore areas of interest. The program aims to support students in reaching their full potential by offering engaging and enriching activities tailored to each student.

Students are selected to participate in RISE through teacher recommendation, with consideration given to factors such as academic readiness and the ability to work collaboratively. RISE offers a unique opportunity for students to receive additional support and enrichment in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Participation is optional, but if you choose to participate, we ask for a commitment to attend all sessions. Please mark whether or not you would like your child to participate in this program and return the completed form to your classroom teacher. Transportation will be provided based on the after-school bus schedule. Consistent attendance is essential to maximizing the program's benefits and ensuring students can fully engage in the learning opportunities.

We are thrilled to offer the RISE program once again and look forward to seeing our students thrive and grow as they participate in these enriching experiences. If you have any questions or would like more information about RISE, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Staff recommendations were used to select the first group of students on each grade level to participate. Students who were near or on grade level but would benefit from a boost to their skills and confidence were selected.

The R.I.S.E. Academy will target ELA and Math with a unique focus each week. Our classroom instructional staff will plan and implement lessons to support your child over these 12 weeks. The student groups will be structured to maximize effectiveness. These will be targeted learning groups that are responsive and tailored to the specific students.

Participation is completely optional, and while we realize there are a number of other after-school activities and commitments that may coincide with these dates, we are asking for a commitment to attend every session. If you would like your child to participate, please complete and return this form to your classroom teacher. Transportation will be provided based on the after- school bus schedule.
