The Westhampton Beach School District congratulates sophomore Matilda Buchen and junior Julia Stabile for being named to Newsday’s top 30 Long Island girls tennis players list. Matilda, a singles player, was selected for helping the Hurricanes earn a spot in the Suffolk large school final in 2021 and winning a league singles title. Julia earned recognition as a 2021 Newsday All-Long Island selection after teaming with her sister to win the Suffolk County individual doubles championship. She is on a quest to win the county singles title this season.
