Members of the Westhampton Beach High School Virtual Enterprise team recently engaged with fellow VE teams from school districts across Long Island at a ninth annual networking event at Atlantis Sea Star Ballroom.

During the event, spearheaded by Westhampton Beach High School VE teacher Amy Demchak, students showcased their VE marketing materials and products and conducted simulated business transactions.

The Westhampton Beach team, Soteria, displayed their virtual cybersecurity training company. The team’s chief sales officer, Lewis Gibbons, delivered an elevator pitch for the firm at the event.

The Westhampton Beach High School Virtual Enterprise program requires students to create a business concept and formulate plans to market it. They compete and present their plans at several events throughout the year.
