As part of an engaging lesson on friendly letter writing and memory stories, Westhampton Beach second grade students in Stella Boscia’s class wrote letters to author Patricia Polacco. Prior to penning their letters, the students read Polacco’s book “When Lightning Comes in a Jar.” The students’ letters asked the author about her book and if it reflected her own memories. They are eagerly awaiting her reply.
