Saying No to Drugs

Three photos of Red Ribbon Week events thumbnail231026
Westhampton Beach High School marked Red Ribbon Week during the week of Nov. 7 with a variety of anti-drug and alcohol activities. Wearing red bracelets in support of the initiative, students participated in presentations about Leandra’s Law, blood alcohol concentration, driving under the influence, consequences and social hosting laws. They also played a “drug-free bingo” game in their health classes and adorned cars in the school’s parking lot with red ribbons and drug-free messages. Serving as a reminder to not drink and drive was a crashed car in front of the school circled by red pinwheels. Students also decorated the fence along their school with a drug-free message.
