The Westhampton Beach School District congratulates senior Max Haynia and junior Trevor Hayes for being named to Newsday’s Top 25 Long Island boys indoor track and field athletes list. Max earned the recognition for winning the state public school class B cross-country championship in the fall and as Newsday’s Runner of the Year. Hayes was recognized as a top 1,600 runner. During last season’s state qualifier, he finished the race in 4:32.99.
